Description

!Note: Depending on the country of origin and type of impairment, assistive devices of this kind are often financially supported or fully covered by public funding!

SuperNova Magnifier & Screen Reader is a highly flexible software package that combines magnification features with speech output and Braille display support. It is specifically designed for users whose vision fluctuates or deteriorates over time—such as those with degenerative eye conditions like macular degeneration or retinitis pigmentosa. The program provides continuous 1.2x to 64x magnification of the screen content, supports touchscreens, and offers comprehensive screen reader functionality.

A special feature is the extensive support for Braille displays from many manufacturers—ideal for organizations with diverse workstations or shared systems. Thanks to flexible rendering in various high-contrast modes and compatibility with multiple monitors, SuperNova can be customized to individual needs.

With "Connect & View," the image from external devices (USB camera or scanner) can be displayed and converted into readable text through integrated OCR (optical character recognition). This significantly expands the application—for example, reading printed documents or blackboard content. For access to digital media such as books and newspapers, SuperNova includes built-in interfaces to relevant platforms.

The software is fully compatible with Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11 and remains reliably operational even after system updates. With its intuitive interface, speech support within web browsers, and the ability to efficiently read documents aloud, it optimally supports productive work for people with visual impairments.
