Smart Dynamic (hybrid handbike)
Description
The Smart Dynamic is a hybrid handbike and electric towing device for manual wheelchairs. It combines an active hand-crank drive with intelligent pedelec assistance, enabling both energy-efficient and sporty mobility. The system is connected to the wheelchair via the Stricker clamping system and, according to the manufacturer, can usually be attached without adapters or modifications to the wheelchair.
At the core of the Smart Dynamic is the GoJo drive system developed by Stricker. A torque sensor optimised specifically for hand-crank drives detects the applied muscular force at the cranks and dynamically supplements it with motor assistance. This creates a particularly natural riding experience with finely adjustable support. Assistance can be adjusted across five levels.
The handbike is equipped with a 250-watt hub motor, a 48-volt lithium-ion battery, and an 8-speed gear system. A colour display shows information such as speed, assistance level, battery status, and distance travelled. In addition, a thumb throttle for starting and a PAS mode are available, allowing continued motor-assisted riding even when muscle power decreases.
The Smart Dynamic is suitable for users who want to extend their mobility and range in everyday life without giving up the active propulsion of a handbike. By lifting the wheelchair caster wheels, a three-wheeled vehicle is created, which also offers more comfort on cobblestones, gravel paths, or other uneven terrain.
Compared to other products on the market, the model stands out particularly due to its hand-crank-optimised torque sensor, the specially developed GoJo system, its natural power assistance, and its universal clamping system compatible with a wide range of wheelchair types. A special tetra configuration is also available for users with limited hand function.
