SHADOW – Multi Surface Glider
Description
The SHADOW Multi Surface Glider is a sport and leisure mobility device designed to support people with limited mobility in experiencing nature and off-road environments beyond paved paths. It is a flexible all-terrain mobility system that combines several specialized devices into one, enabling use on a wide variety of surfaces such as snow, gravel, forest trails, ice, and paved roads—without sinking in or getting stuck.
The core feature of the SHADOW is its rapid, tool-free interchangeable surface system, allowing users to switch between different attachments depending on terrain conditions. This modular design enables year-round use, from winter landscapes to loose gravel paths and urban environments. This concept clearly distinguishes the SHADOW from many traditional mobility or sports devices, which are typically designed for only one specific surface type.
The SHADOW can be used in two main configurations:
-
Active version for independent use by the rider
-
Passive version with a push handle, allowing assistance by a companion
Its construction is based on lightweight yet robust materials, combined with a comfortable and secure seating system to ensure maximum freedom of movement and safety across varied terrain.
Compared to conventional scooters, wheelchairs, or off-road sports devices, the SHADOW stands out due to its modular versatility, adaptability to multiple surfaces, and the rare combination of both active and assisted (passive) usage options within a single device.
Market availability:
The SHADOW Multi Surface Glider is not yet commercially available (as of 4 February 2026).
