NoseySpray (Nasal Spray Grip Aid)
Description
The NoseySpray is a small assistive device designed to make using a standard nasal spray easier by turning the usual two-finger-and-thumb press into a simple squeeze motion. This product is primarily intended for people with limited hand function, reduced fine motor skills, loss of strength, or pain in the hands and fingers, for whom operating a regular nasal spray can be difficult or impossible.
The device attaches to the body of a normal nasal spray using so-called Nano-Tape strips. The flexible Nano-Tape and the integrated “legs” of the NoseySpray allow it to fit most commercially available nasal spray bottles. The Nano-Tape adheres securely but is washable and reusable if it becomes dirty.
With the NoseySpray’s grip mechanism, the spray can be administered without the higher force or precise two-finger pressing usually required. The holder ensures the nasal spray is squeezed more easily and the correct dose is delivered, which is especially important for proper application of the medication into the nose.
Compared to standard nasal spray adapters or grip aids, the NoseySpray offers the advantage of attaching directly to the spray, significantly reducing strain on hand and finger joints. Unlike some other grip aids, the medication itself remains unchanged, and the NoseySpray can be easily transferred between different sprays.
