Description
The MEYRA NANO S is an innovative manually propelled active wheelchair, developed as one of the world’s first folding wheelchairs with an open mono-tube frame and swivel, removable footrests. This unique design worldwide combines the advantages of an active wheelchair with the flexibility of a folding model, enabling high maneuverability in tight spaces, easy transfers, and efficient leg-movement training.
With a ready-to-drive weight starting at approximately 10 kg, the NANO S is exceptionally light for an active model with this equipment. It can be folded and unfolded compactly, making it ideal for everyday use, travel, and transport in a vehicle.
The swivel and removable footrests increase flexibility for getting in and out of the chair and also support neurological applications, such as movement therapy or stepping exercises. Thanks to the innovative double cross-brace folding mechanism, the NANO S offers high torsional rigidity and stable driving characteristics, approaching those of a rigid-frame wheelchair.
