MT ePush (outdoor wheelchair with electric push assist)
Description
The MT ePush is an all-terrain outdoor wheelchair with electric push assistance for accompanying persons. The model was designed for users who are unable or do not wish to self-propel and who want to tackle more demanding outdoor routes together with a companion. The electric assistance reduces the effort required from the person pushing, particularly on inclines, uneven terrain, or longer excursions.
The MT ePush is based on the Mountain Trike MT Push and has been upgraded with an electric drive system. Control is carried out directly via the push handles. The accompanying person can switch between manual pushing and electric assistance, allowing the wheelchair to be adapted flexibly to different terrain and driving conditions.
For off-road use, the MT ePush is equipped with mountain bike–style suspension, hydraulic brakes, and a robust aluminium frame. The chassis is designed for forest paths, gravel tracks, park routes, grass terrain, inclines, and other outdoor environments. At the same time, the model remains foldable and can be collapsed for transport in vehicles.
Electric assistance is provided via a rear hub motor. Operation is controlled using a thumb lever on the push handle. An LCD display provides information on speed, distance, average and maximum speed, as well as the selected assistance level. Range depends on terrain, user weight, and riding style, and is specified by the manufacturer at approximately 8 to 20 miles.
