LOX – Ultra-Light Adaptive and Active Wheelchair
Description
The LOX is an ultra-light adaptive and active wheelchair from molab, designed for children, adolescents, and adults, with a particular focus on minimal weight combined with maximum stability. It belongs to the molab family of custom-made wheelchairs, which are built not as off-the-shelf products but tailored to the individual’s body measurements and needs.
The LOX design emphasizes a compact structure with a distinctive side panel shape and a horizontally mounted handle tube behind the back shell. This design achieves high efficiency with minimal material use. A notable feature is the exceptionally low ready-to-use weight: starting at approximately 6 kg (depending on wheel size and individual configuration), the wheelchair can be easily operated even by users with limited strength.
molab’s custom-built concept allows a wide range of adjustments and configurations:
-
Wheel sizes ranging from approximately 18″ to 26″
-
All relevant dimensions, except seat width, are continuously adjustable
-
Center of gravity, tipping point, and activity level can be individually adapted
-
Chassis geometry and wheelbase can be continuously configured in the modular version
Compared to many series-produced active wheelchairs on the market, the LOX offers a combination of extremely low weight, modular adjustability, continuously variable settings, and a compact, robust design. This makes it suitable for users with limited muscle strength as well as for anyone who values lightweight construction and mobility without high physical effort.
The wheelchair can be built either fully welded or modularly, depending on whether flexibility or stability is prioritized for the user. Numerous custom-built options further expand its range of applications.
The price stated above represents the base price of this product.
