The InnoMake Clip is an innovative, portable obstacle detection device from Austria, specifically designed for blind and visually impaired individuals who wish to enhance their mobility and safety in everyday life. Using intelligent ultrasonic obstacle detection, the device identifies upper-body-level obstacles such as doors, windows, parked cars, people, or walls at a range of 0.3 to 4 meters—providing a warning via vibration or acoustic signal before contact occurs. The feedback automatically adapts to the distance and can be individually configured via an accessible smartphone app (compatible with VoiceOver).
The app offers a wide range of settings: detection range in 0.5-meter increments (between 0.5 and 4 meters), selection of feedback mode (vibration, sound, LED), activation of intelligent mode, LED brightness adjustment, and battery monitoring. The InnoMake Clip features extended battery life thanks to a high-performance lithium-polymer battery—up to 8 hours with intensive use and up to 5 days with regular use.
The clip is highly versatile in its use: it is robust, waterproof, and dustproof—ideal for use in rain or challenging weather conditions. It can be flexibly attached to clothing, a white cane, a walker, or a backpack. The integrated LED also enhances visibility in traffic, providing an additional safety feature for everyday use.
Especially practical: the InnoMake Clip is compatible with the feelSpace naviBelt, offers free software updates, and includes lifetime support. This makes it an indispensable assistive system for anyone who wants to better perceive their surroundings and move about more independently.
