HANDBIKE VARIO
Description
HANDBIKE VARIO
Everything in your hands!
The Vario Bike is a versatile all-rounder. Featuring a SHIMANO gear system—available as a 24-speed derailleur or an 8-speed hub gear with coaster brake—and many other quality components, it guarantees fun, smooth riding, and a powerful rush of wind.
The handbike is attached as a manual assist to a manual wheelchair. The user can connect it independently. This allows distances to be covered more quickly and easily, significantly expanding the personal range of mobility.
The pedaling motion also provides excellent training for the shoulders, chest muscles, and the entire cardiovascular system. Engaging in sports activities with family and friends can have a positive impact on the user’s mental well-being and support inclusion.
When combined with electric assist motors, it enables riding on routes, inclines, and unpaved paths that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to manage without such support.
The handbike can be mounted on a wide variety of rigid-frame or folding wheelchairs. The only exception is wheelchairs with removable footrests. Different types of attachments can be used for this purpose.
The wheelchair must be in technically sound condition. Rigid-frame wheelchairs are best suited for this, as they are more stable than folding wheelchairs and, in most cases, can accommodate a second axle.
