FOREST 3 SU (standing power wheelchair)
Description
The FOREST 3 SU is a power wheelchair with an integrated standing function for both indoor and outdoor use. Based on the FOREST 3 platform, this model extends its capabilities with electric verticalisation. Users can switch between a seated position, a standing position, and a highly reclined position using the control system. To ensure safety during the standing movement, the wheelchair is equipped with a chest belt, a padded knee support, and additional support wheels integrated into the footplate.
The wheelchair was developed for individuals with permanent mobility impairments, including paralysis, amputations, joint damage, or other conditions affecting walking ability. The electric standing function can help users perform everyday activities from an elevated position and enables more frequent changes in posture throughout the day.
The FOREST 3 SU is powered by two electric motors and features a suspended chassis with active front-wheel suspension. The combination of suspension, swivel axle technology, and large pneumatic tyres provides a comfortable ride on paved surfaces as well as lightly uneven terrain. LiNX control technology automatically adapts the driving characteristics to different operating conditions.
The seating system offers extensive adjustment options. Seat depth, armrests, backrest, and leg supports can all be adjusted to meet individual user requirements. The wheelchair is approved for users weighing up to 130 kg and reaches a maximum speed of 6 km/h with the standard motors. Equipped with 80 Ah batteries, the manufacturer specifies a range of up to 50 km.
Compared with other products on the market, the FOREST 3 SU stands out through its combination of a power wheelchair, fully integrated standing function, reclining function, extensive seating adjustability, and terrain-capable suspension system.
