EpiCare mobile (epilepsy alert system)
Description
Epi-Care mobile offers greater independence and freedom for individuals with epilepsy, as the alarm device can be used day and night, even while on the go.
The sensor is worn as a wristband and communicates with the pre-installed app on the included smartphone. The system detects tonic-clonic seizures and sends an alarm call to the caregiver’s mobile phone. GPS coordinates can also be sent via SMS.
The product is CE-marked and complies with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 on medical devices.
In Austria, the statutory health insurance providers (ÖGK, BVAEB, SVS, and in justified individual cases also the KFA) offer reimbursement for the majority of the costs associated with acquiring an epilepsy monitoring aid. We are happy to assist you with our non-binding financing service.
