HopeTech ist ein junges Technologieunternehmen mit Standorten in London und Wien. Das Team entwickelt smarte, tragbare Lösungen für blinde und sehbehinderte Menschen – mit dem Ziel, ihnen mehr Sicherheit, Freiheit und Selbstständigkeit im Alltag zu ermöglichen.

Gegründet wurde HopeTech von Brian Mwenda und Laura Wissiak. Für ihre Arbeit wurden sie 2025 in die renommierte Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe Liste im Bereich Social Impact aufgenommen. Ihr bisher wichtigstes Produkt heißt The Sixth Sense – ein innovatives Navigations- und Orientierungssystem, das Hindernisse erkennt und per Sprache oder Vibration davor warnt.

Zusätzlich bietet es GPS-gestützte Navigation via App – freihändig, einfach, intuitiv. HopeTech verbindet soziale Wirkung mit technologischer Innovation – und verfolgt dabei ein klares Ziel: Mobilität soll kein Hindernis sein.

Their most important product to date is The Sixth Sense—an innovative navigation and orientation system that detects obstacles and provides warnings via voice or vibration.
